Today while in the car…
Zachary – “look mom, Jesus is outside!”
I looked to see an older man with long blond hair walking beside our car.
I love it when they love each other!
This has been my favorite conversation with Zachary lately and we have it at least once a day….
Zachary – “how’s it going mommy?”
Me- “good! How are you doing?”
Zachary – “um, nufin!” as he lifts his hands up and shrugs his shoulders.
It makes me laugh every time.
Addison likes to sit in the shopping cart lots of different ways…
We love you so much!!! We are so thankful for you, and you are a huge blessing in our lives!
Last night was Skull Church so we planned a little birthday dinner for Addison tonight. Unfortunately both kids woke up with a fever and stomach bug this morning, so we will be postponing our dinner and having a birthday week this week to celebrate the little girl God has given us.
Today I turn 26. A friend of mine gave me the idea to read the Psalm that is the same number as the age you are turning each year and make it your prayer for that year. Last year I read Psalm 25, and I found myself returning to that prayer throughout the year. It’s encouraging now to look back on the year and see small glimmers of hope and change in the things I was praying. It makes me want to pray even more fervently this year. This is part of what I read today…
“Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering. Prove me, O Lord, and try me; test my heart and my mind. For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness.”

I made this headband for Addison. I’ve been inspired lately to do more crafty stuff. So far I’ve just copied idea’s from blogs and things I’ve seen on Etsy. I hope eventually I’ll be able to come up with my own idea’s, but for now the first step for me is to make my sewing machine more accessible. So this is my task for today…
to move my sewing machine out of the closet and make myself a little sewing area upstairs.
Seriously, this girl is so cute I can’t even take it sometimes!
